Margaret & Malcom The Digital Duo
Margaret and Malcolm have always been great supporters of everything that's going on in the village, from Film Club to Comedy Club and pretty much everything in between. However, with all village hall events being suspended during lockdown, their normal social calendar had become somewhat sparse. Frustrated at not being able to join in as much, it was time to turn their hand to the new social medium of ZOOM!
With the loan of a laptop, a bit of coaching and a few practice runs, their first ZOOM experience was a success! A whisky tasting hosted by Simon, Brian and Will.
They have since taken part in the June Big Quiz Night IN and been able to connect with family in Manchester over the internet.
There have been many examples of new skills learned during lockdown, some of which we can continue to make use of even when all of this is over.
If anyone else would like some help going digital or need to refresh their current skills, I would be very happy to help. I may even be able to help with the loan of a laptop.
