Rory Watt, A Souper Success
Every Wednesday and Sunday, Rory can be seen walking around in the village with his dad's converted golf trolley delivering soup to around 15 of our local residents. What started out as part of his Duke of Edinburgh medal, has become much more than that. A huge personal achievement for Rory and another important social interaction during these difficult times for his "regulars".
Over the last three months Rory has carried out over 400 soup deliveries, prepared over 120kg of veg and walked 36 miles....so far!! He has appeared on Radio York and featured in the York Press and Gazette & Herald!
Rory is currently trying some new recipes provided by some of his experienced soup clients. I am told the Tomato, Celery and Apple is proving very popular!
