Thanksgiving Service Betty & Humphrey Ballard
On 20 September the family of former Husthwaite residents Betty and Humphrey Ballard will be holding a Thanksgiving Service for their lives at St Nicholas Church, Husthwaite at 2.00pm, followed by tea in the Village Hall. Betty died on 14 August this year, and Humphrey died in 2002. It was my mother's dying wish that I bring her back to Yorkshire, and for the family we have many happy memories of Mother and Father/Granny and Grandpa at home in Victoria Cottage, Husthwaite.
Betty and Humphrey were very active in the village, and many will remember them being involved with the Church, the Parish Council, the History Society, the Village Show, and generally being part of community.
