Husthwaite Connections, Keeping you informed and in touch......
Husthwaite Connections takes the form of a weekly digital update, borne out of the isolation imposed on us by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Connections is structured to give an update on the current situation (including any new Government policy decisions), to tell you what community help and support is available, and to give some ideas on how to keep yourself entertained during lockdown. It gets sent out every Saturday via a secure email provider, Mailchimp, to all those who have signed up to the village distribution list over the years, which currently amounts to 140 villagers!
As I write this, I have just finished posting Husthwaite Connections Number 7. Maybe none of us expected lockdown to last this long and unfortunately it seems likely to continue for some time yet. Over the weeks, I have received loads of ideas and photo's from people which have gone into making the updates very personal and local, which is great. From photo's many of you have taken on your daily exercise; showcasing how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world, to personal causes being supported by local volunteers; such as Yorkshire Scrubs and The British Legion on VE Day. As lockdown continues, in some shape or form, please keep sending me your stories, photos or whatever else you think would be interesting to share with the broader community. Thank you so much for your contributions, ideas and feedback, all greatly appreciated.
