Husthwaite Christmas Market 2017

news

Husthwaite Christmas market goes from strength to strength. A measure of this is how many sellers want a table.
The ambiance is warm and friendly and the cakes, tea and bacon rolls particularly welcome.

The numbers of parked cars indicate that it is well supported from outside the village as well.

Also good the see villagers with stalls; Liz Walton selling gifts in aid of St. Leonard's Hospice, Jacki Barlow's alpaca products, The Beauty Room run by Caroline and newcomer Mary Hill with her Left & Right Earrings.
Mary, pictured below with a discerning customer explained that having a market stall here drove her business forward quickly.

Inexplicably, the number of stalls selling alcohol has grown and grown. More telling, when the number of customers at The Plum and Partridge has shrunk.

Talking to stall holders inside and out suggests that the atmosphere at Husthwaite is valued and this one was successful for them.

The amount of effort put in by the organisers, the Kennedys, Lynn Coltons and Debbie Lewis-Green keeps the event running smoothly. A host of volunteers underpin the success of the Fair and are to be thanked.
