Hambleton Local Plan

news

You may be aware that views are being sought on the ‘Preferred Policy' for the District Council's Local Plan which will help shape policies for determining planning applications in the future; as well as on the ‘Preferred Options' for housing and employment land allocations up to 2035.

The proposals are set out within the District Council's Preferred Options Document. Running alongside this is consultation on the first tranche of Green Spaces proposed for inclusion in the Local Plan as well as on the Settlement Character Studies undertaken to date. The results of the consultation will inform the draft Local Plan which is due to be issued in summer 2017.

As part of the consultation several drop in sessions are being held across the District where consultation documents can be seen in more detail and views shared with council officers. Settlement maps identifying the Preferred and Non-Preferred sites will also be available to view.

A drop-in session will take place between 5.00pm-7.30pm at the Galtres Centre on Tuesday 22nd November.

There will also be a market stall session from 10am until 1pm at Easingwold Market on Friday 25th November.

Further information on how to get involved in the consultation and how to submit comments is available at hambleton.gov.uk/localplan

Hard copies of the consultation documents are available at the Civic Centre in Northallerton, Council offices in Stokesley and Easingwold and at District libraries.
