Husthwaite Volunteeers shortlisted for Community Awards!

Husthwaite community and its volunteers have been duly recognised in the upcoming 2016 Hambleton Community Awards!

The Hambleton Community Awards is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the vast amount of work that volunteers do with and for their own communities. This year, there were 4 nominations from our small community and we have just heard that 2 of the nominees have reached the shortlist!
They are:
Orchard Village Club for Services to Older People
Husthwaite Parish Council for Parish Council of the Year

Members of the 2 shortlisted groups have been invited to attend the awards ceremony on the 17th March to find out if they are this years winners. We wish them well!

Its great for Husthwaite to get this formal recognition, but most importantly, it refects the spirit of the community we live in where many of you out there give up your time, skills and energy all year round.

So...good luck to our shortlisted groups and a huge thank you to all our village volunteers.
