Rebecca's Fund Raising Update!

news

Just a quick update and a huge thank you to everyone who helped Rebecca raise £430 for Queens Medical E39 Children's Oncology Ward and £623.83 For The Little Princess Trust.

A grand total of £1053.83.

As you can see in the photographs, the money raised for the hospital was spent on gifts to give the children when they wake up from the many procedures which form part of their treatment. It gives them a project to complete which cheers them up and also gives them something to take their mind off any pain they may be in whilst, for example, decorating a fabric bag or T shirt, or creating a scratch art foil masterpiece!

The play leader at Queens Medical had this to say, 'Hi just to say a really big thank you for all the stuff you bought. We had a lot of things out today there were many happy faces on the ward. So bless you and all who fundraised from everyone on day care and ward E39 xx.'

We are hoping to raise at least another £40 for E39 by donating funds raised from picking our apples. It all helps!!

Rebecca's hair was also donated to The Little Princess Trust to be sent away to be made into wigs which are then given to the poorly children free of charge. This gives a child who has lost their hair their confidence back. It enables them to be like their friends again and to not look different to everyone else. The money she has raised will pay for 2 additional wigs to be made which are then given, again free of charge, helping to relieve financial worries for the parents or carers of such poorly children.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone for your support and donations.

Thanks again!
