Christmas Market 2014

The Christmas Market rounded off a successful first year of regular trading in the new hall. The event was well attended with over 360 shoppers in the 4 hours the market was open.
Indeed the feedback from those who sold at our previous markets, was highly complementary about all things ‘Husthwaite'.

The atmosphere was festive and the volunteers did sterling work, especially Santa's Elves at The Apple Tree Café, whose great food and service kept the Committee room full of happy shoppers sampling the delights of the kitchen and of course some mulled wine.

With our now proven track record in hosting this event, our reputation is growing. And thanks to Cameron Smith, who has a stall at the event, we had the added bonus of receiving media coverage on the day. BBC's ‘Inside Out' recorded a programme on the Orchards of Husthwaite, including the sights and atmosphere of the market.

We look forward to an even better 2015, with a waiting list of stall holders and by continuing to source more throughout the year we hope to provide an enjoyable shopping opportunity for everyone. All we need is your continued support.

A huge thank you to all who have visited the markets so far, please keep coming and tell friends and neighbours who have not yet enjoyed the experience to give it a try at the Spring Market on March 22nd

If you would like to see a particular product or produce represented at the markets, or would like to help us with the event, please feel free to contact either Annabel, Lynn or myself at
