Husthwaite Summer Market
Sunday saw the 2nd village market in our new hall. The weather may have been overcast for a Summer Market , but the atmosphere was definitely sunny as we said hello to a number of new stalls complimenting those from our Spring Market. Delightful delicacies from Artisan olive oil, cheese, Yorkshire Dales Ice cream, preserves and cakes to wonderful pates, tapenades, sauces and profiteroles. New comers also included scented candles, jewellery, plants and a fruit and vegetable stall.
Stallholders and shoppers were complimentary and we now have a growing waiting list of stalls, so that we can vary the products available.
We are already planning our Autumn market and hope to entice more shoppers from near and far, but have no fear, we are looking to improve the parking situation. With an average of 25 stallholders, we will ensure that their cars are parked well away from the hall after set up, to alleviate congestion.
Annabel, Lynn and I wish to thank all those who helped us make the day a success and we look forward to seeing more Husthwaite Shoppers on September 14th.
