The Lighthouse on Shivering Sands

news

Strange tales were told of Shivering Sands - of keepers gone mad, mermaids and sea monsters, disappearances and hauntings, even a plague of rats. None of that scared Mordechai Chiddock, but had he known that Jezreel Cornish was one of the keepers he'd never have set foot on that cursed rock! And now the supply boat would not be back for a month and Chiddock knew that either he or Cornish would be dead long before then.

North Country Theatre from Richmond is back in Husthwaite! This time it's a sinister tale of sun, sea and strangulation. This is their fourth visit to the village hall and each time, it's been a wonderful, really memorable evening of brilliant theatre.

After previous performances, people said
"....tickets for North Country Theatre's latest offering should be available on prescription" (Darlington and Stockton Times) and
" the unique set proved a superb feature .... used to stunning effect. Wonderfully entertaining." (Craven Herald).
It's all happening at Husthwaite Village Hall for one night only at 7.30pm on Wednesday 10th October. Tickets are £9 and you can get them from the village shop or by ringing 01347 868130. Bar and refreshments... Don't miss it, book early!
